Job Opportunity: Renal and Surgical Pathologist Posted by: Utah Pathology Services, Inc. Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Date: November 23rd, 2020 |
Description
Utah Pathology Services is seeking a renal and surgical pathologist to join our full service pathology practice in Salt Lake City. Our renal pathology service is shared between 2 pathologists (this posting is to hire a 3rd) and our annual volume is ~600 adult kidney biopsies with about 25% being renal transplants. We perform immunofluorescence and electron microscopy in-house in our dedicated renal biopsy lab.
This position would also entail participating in a busy surgical pathology practice as part of a group of 14 surgical pathologists covering 7 hospitals along the ‘Wasatch Front’ from Provo to Salt Lake City. This will be a roughly 1/3 renal pathology and 2/3 surgical pathology case load.
Salt Lake City is a major urban center in the intermountain west. There is ready access to a variety of outdoor activities (hiking, cycling, climbing, world class skiing) and a vibrant array of cultural activities (theater, music, arts, sports), in addition to topnotch dining.
Applicants must hold an MD or DO degree, be certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology, and have fellowship or equivalent training and experience in renal pathology (native and transplant). The ability to obtain a medical license in the state of Utah is required. Compensation and vacation packages are highly competitive.
